What is collagen?

Collagen or collagen is a complex protein mainly found in the connective tissue (including the subcutaneous tissue), in our tendons, ligaments, bones, joints, hair and teeth. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body, accounting for over 30%, and is, generally speaking, responsible for shape and stability.
